A Moth in the Dark I chose to explore the invisible mountains we carry within ourselves : exhaustion, fear, survival, and the struggle to keep going. In this piece, I sit trapped inside a dark room, yet my eyes remain fixed upward. For me, that upward gaze is the true climb. It represents the small part of the human spirit that refuses to die, even in heavy moments. The moth became my symbol of hope. Fragile, and drawn toward light, it moves freely through the darkness while I remain confined. Though physically trapped, I still dreams of freedom. This work is about the idea that sometimes the first step toward freedom happens internally before it appears in the outside world.
