@JEBaker83 @lawrence_bury I'm not saying he alone is responsible for the team's failure. He isn't. But he doesn't score in the major moments (five finals are major moments). Outstanding for Bayern in their league but again didn't perform against PSG in the semis. You get the picture.

@JEBaker83 @lawrence_bury Zero goals and assists in five finals he's played at club and international level. Good player but not a big game player as, once again, evidenced yesterday.

Kone is ongoing and there is one other midfielder United are considering. Not Camavinga at this stage

@matthewdmarsden I used to think he was alright but he seems to mention race an awful lot and plays the victim too often these days. Talking like half cast Jude is the first non whit to play for England. There only Roy Keane out of his squad of mates who’s ok now. Neville, carra are bell ends 🤦🏻‍♂️

Utter bunkum. I love Ian Wright but this perpetual victimhood mentality is just boring now. I have only seen people praise Bellingham this tournament. Oh, and he isn’t black. He is mixed raced, not that that means anything. Stop bringing race into everything.

“I don’t think the English media are ready for a black superstar who can move like Jude is moving. Someone like Jude Bellingham frightens them because they just can’t touch him” Ian Wright

Belgian FA pulling no punches in a strongly worded statement. Say they are “astonished” by the decision and now “investigating all potential options” as they look to “safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament” RBFA STATEMENT The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is astonished by FIFA's decision to declare suspended United States player Folarin Balogun eligible to play in the USA–Belgium match on Monday, 6 July at 5:00 p.m. (Seattle time). FIFA bases its decision on Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code. This provision states that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may decide to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction. However, Article 66.4 of the same FIFA Disciplinary Code clearly provides that a red card (sending-off) automatically results in a suspension for the team's next match, as has been the case for all previous red cards issued during this FIFA World Cup. Furthermore, and irrespective of the above, the decision is in direct contradiction with the provisions of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, as set out in Article 10.5: "If a player or team official is sent off as a result of a direct or indirect red card (second caution), they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match. In addition, further sanctions may be imposed." The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in FIFA World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026. The same rule is reiterated at every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and is included in all FIFA World Cup 2026 workshop presentations. In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the RBFA is investigating all potential options.”

US President Donald Trump has thanked Fifa for “reversing a great unjustice” after the United States striker Folarin Balogun had a one-match ban controversially suspended. Balogun will be unexpectedly available to face Belgium in the co-hosts’ last-16 tie at Lumen Field in Seattle on Monday after Fifa invoked a little known article in their rules to “suspend” the red card he received against Bosnia-Herzegovina for one year. @TelegraphDucker has more ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

🚨⚠️ FIFA president Gianni Infatino clarifies his position on Folarin Balogun red card. “I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFA’s governance. “FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected. “Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFA’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold. “I read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree. “What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.”

Yes, I've played elite level sport where my particular job was running with a ball at feet at around 30kph+ multiple times a half. 6 ft 4, 95kg. The tactical information given to me through a 7 day, not 3 minute period sufficed, as did the occasional squirt of electrolyte water per half. My performance would not have been improved at all by a hydration or tactical break. Pretty much like 99% of players over a 150 year period playing the most popular and most played sport on the planet by far. So maybe you can tell me. When was the last time you put your fucking dorittos, big gulp and chicken wings down long enough to know what professional sportsmen need rather than advertising executives or couch potatoes who need to be told 6 times in 20 minutes to buy a Jeep Cherokee, Whopper or diabetes medication instead of just enjoying the sport?
Neil@Neil_Bloch

@StanCollymore Have you ever played a sport for more than 45 minutes straight? Would your performance had been better with a short break to hydrate and rest? Do you think fans want to see athletes perform at their best?

@ArsenalNews_Hub Why would his behaviour have upset anyone? The man has been accused of 7 counts of sexual assault pending trial. Including 4 of rape, by 4 separate women. I'm proud of him and wish the others had done the same. He's a rapist and shouldn't even be on the field

🚨 Djed Spence breaks silence on why he didn’t greet Thomas Partey: “I have my beliefs, and I live by them. My faith guides my decisions, and I know what my scriptures teach me. People are free to interpret what happened however they want, but I’m not going to go into detail or explain myself. To the England fans, if my actions disappointed or upset any of you, I sincerely apologise. That was never my intention. I respect everyone, but I also have to stay true to my convictions.”
