That is fine. Those people exist.
But I definitely would not subject my kids to his partisan activism. Kids should be free in school to learn from normal teachers who act like normal people.

@NormieUtah @MikeCarey4CC 😂 how we speak with our toddlers at home and make sense of the news reflects how we speak in the workplace? That’s a stretch. But if any parent had any objection to my performance in the classroom they could opt their student out. It’s never happened, but always an option 👍🏼

No disrespect to your teaching credentials, experience, or accolades, but where in here does it say you're qualified to provide any level of mental health counseling? Because that is essentially what you're doing without a license under the banner of safety and inclusivity. You should refer the student and their parents (since they are a minor) to the school or district counseling professionals, let them handle it, and follow whatever IEP they come up with. If they decline, you cross a line any time you encourage or affirm their behavior. DSM-V disorders are handled by doctors and psychologists. That's far outside your area of expertise.
