An apartment above me flooded ~4 weeks ago. Copped some tiny floorboard water damage from shared wall. 2 assessors come out. They look @ the damage. One says "this was caused by the washing machine next to it" I say "sir that's a dryer" He says "oh it was caused by the dryer"

Absolute nightmare scenario for someone in my building today: apparently an apartment on level 5 flooded so bad it also drenched multiple apartments on every floor below. My place was *just* out of the flood zone. It doesn’t appear the person in the offending apt was home?
