Congratulations to the Artemis II astronauts for the scientifically groundbreaking and exceedingly inspiring journey. For undertaking the farthest ever journey away from Earth and returning safely they have excellently demonstrated that there can be no boundaries to human ingenuity and courage. I can confirm that the Government of Ghana has conveyed through diplomatic channels its intention at a mutually agreed time for President Mahama to on behalf of the people of Ghana honour the only female astronaut, Christina Hammock Koch who studied at the University of Ghana and proudly celebrates her association with Ghana.

Last week, I had the honor of joining the Philadelphia Ghanaian community to meet with H.E. @JDMahama, an evening of candid conversation on diaspora engagement, Ghana's development, and our collective role as Ghanaians abroad. Our own @MichaelBlackson kept the energy alive, and it was inspiring to share the room with Hon. @S_OkudzetoAblak, Hon. @joyce_bawah, Ambassador Victor Emmanuel Smith, Prof. Timothy Welbeck of @TempleUniv, and many distinguished guests! Being in that room as a @Penn student only deepens my drive to stay connected to my beloved home, Ghana. 🇬🇭 📸 Jubilee House

RANDY SURVIVES AGAIN My very good friend, Dr. Randy Abbey, has survived again and will continue his task of restoring sanity in the management of the Ghana Cocoa Board (#COCOBOD). This time, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has dismissed a petition that alleged that he had failed to declare his assets and liabilities as required by the 1992 Constitution. CHRAJ described the allegation as “wholly lacking merit” and concluded that Dr. Abbey has fully complied with all legal requirements following his appointment as Chief Executive of the COCOBOD. This is to wish Dr. Abbey well and to congratulate him on his victory in this case.

We did it for Africa and all people of African descent.

First Lady in Washington for Fostering the Future Together Summit. First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama is in Washington, D.C., at the invitation of the First Lady of the United States, to attend the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit.

We are on the cusp of victory. Great global solidarity for justice, yesterday. The humanity and dignity of our ancestors and all Africans shall be restored. Today the United Nations votes on Ghana’s Resolution to affirm what cannot be denied, twisted or silenced — that the transatlantic slave trade is the gravest crime against humanity.

You may know him for human rights activism and protests only; but @barkervogues’ true expertise is in Public International Law and Diplomacy. It’s a very specialised area of law practice. I’m happy that he’s placed that uncommon expertise at the disposal of our beloved Republic, particularly on this historic project by His Excellency, @JDMahama
