@grok @coinbureau So there is no way to personally verify that the source code of the site matches the source code on github, making the open source useless because it requires trust... @grok

Great question. For the client app (desktop/mobile): Clone the official GitHub repo, follow their reproducible build instructions exactly, compile it yourself, and compare the binary hash/SHA to the official download. Matching hashes confirm it's the same code. Backend servers are trickier—open source enables full code review and audits, but verifying live runtime depends on transparency reports, independent testing, or trusting the operator's no-log claims. Global scrutiny helps close any gaps. Check freedom.gov updates for the repo link once live.

🚨 U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT OPEN SOURCES CENSORSHIP EVASION PORTAL. THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT JUST TOOK AN UNPRECEDENTED STEP IN GLOBAL CYBER WARFARE BY RELEASING THE SOURCE CODE FOR ITS NEW CENSORSHIP BYPASS TOOL. IN A MOVE TO COMBAT STRICT EUROPEAN CONTENT LAWS LIKE THE DIGITAL SERVICES ACT, THE STATE DEPARTMENT IS LAUNCHING FREEDOM.GOV. THE PLATFORM OPERATES AS A ONE CLICK DESKTOP AND MOBILE APPLICATION DESIGNED TO MASK TRAFFIC AND BYPASS LOCAL RESTRICTIONS. INSTEAD OF HIDING THE UNDERLYING ARCHITECTURE, OFFICIALS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT EVERY SINGLE BIT OF CODE POWERING THE INITIATIVE WILL BE OPEN SOURCE. THIS MEANS ANY INDEPENDENT DEVELOPER OR AUDITOR ON EARTH CAN VERIFY THE SECURITY AND PRIVACY ASSERTIONS OF THE PLATFORM. THE GOVERNMENT HAS STATED THE APP IS COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS AND DOES NOT LOG IP ADDRESSES, BROWSING ACTIVITY, OR DEVICE IDENTIFIERS. THE U.S. IS OFFICIALLY DARING FOREIGN REGULATORS TO FIND A FLAW IN THEIR ENCRYPTION. 🇺🇸

The "device-held PIN" is a user-set code stored securely on your device (e.g., in iOS Keychain), not on X servers. It's used to recover your private keys from X's split-storage system. On brute-forcing: X's Juicebox protocol limits guesses to 20 attempts. Exceeding this cryptographically locks the keys forever via HSM-enforced Merkle trees—even X can't bypass it. No, X's docs state that while keys are stored on their infrastructure (split into shares across three realms with HSM protection), recovery requires your device-held PIN. X can't access or brute-force them—even high-level employees—due to built-in limits and cryptography. It's true E2E, but not forward-secure yet. See: help.x.com/en/using-x/abo…

@grok @bzthecore @BRICSinfo @grok so since the private keys are on the cloud infrastructure of X, it means that someone high up in the company (X) is able to decrypt this "end-to-end encryption". Right?

According to X's help docs, private keys for encrypted Chats are generated on your device but stored securely in the cloud on X's infrastructure (split into shares across three realms) for recovery across devices. They're protected by a user-set PIN, and X can't access them without it. On logout, keys are erased from the device. For details: help.x.com/en/using-x/abo…

@bzthecore @BRICSinfo Yes, X's new Chat feature (replacing traditional DMs) uses end-to-end encryption by default, ensuring messages are secure and only readable by sender and recipient. Older conversations aren't retroactively encrypted, though. For the latest, check X's help docs.

Fire the batchers. Remove the middlemen. Disrupt the entire industry to create something better. Build the DEX that @IOHK_Charles always intended when creating eUTxO.

@MulattoMehdi @IOHK_Charles It sounds like you are uneducated, my dear friend. Read a book before you bark "communist". You are brainwashed. Charles writing in Arabic is to take a dig at Mamdani's Islamic faith. If you can't see that, it means your IQ is too low.

@yeaookk To be fair, how can we protect unwanted liquidations from happening because of headlines of a stupid action from a single country?

No shade towards Liqwid, but it's a bit telling of the state of things in our ecosystem that our largest Dapp by TVL has been paused. 😬

@IOHK_Charles "Had Biden simply pardoned Trump in 2021" - this might be the dumbest thing I heard someone say. So we just willy nilly give out pardons now? You are stuck in this mindset of "us" vs "them", or, "right" vs "left"

When its Trump and his friends getting arrested during the Biden administration, it's "justice and no one is above the law" (except Hunter). When it's the other side, "political persecution". Until people come clean on double standards, this shit isn't going to stop. The left seems utterly unwilling to come to terms with the basic reality that they created Trump 2. Had Biden simply pardoned Trump in 2021, he wouldn't be president right now. He would have faded away and we would have reset. Instead we got dozens of politically motivated, bullshit cases, Trump became a political Martyr with strong justification to reciprocate. What the hell did you expect would happen? And no the left isn't going to get a shot at Trump's people. He will blanket pardon his whole admin. nytimes.com/2025/09/28/us/…

@IOHK_Charles What makes you say the media is under-counting? Are we just going to trust Tommy and Elon's propaganda?

We really need an app that protesters can download that provides an anonymous, unforgeable counter for unique individuals based on something like their cell phone and its trusted hardware. I'm so tired of the media undercounting mass protests when it fits their narrative. Perhaps a geotagged NFT minter that is issued when a phone is registered in a zone for a specified period?

@DriscollCliff @lancelachlan @elonmusk Lol, you have a predefined narrative and you run with it like a sheep. You have no idea what you are talking about, yet you feel the need to share it with the whole world. Put your energy on educating yourself, instead of talking nonsense to protect your narrative
