The genocide is obviously 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥. Just a very well-planned, well-orchestrated, initial, though very savage phase of it seems to be drawing to a close, which also seems to be the precursor for the step up in the all-around inhumane treatment of the Palestinian people.

I don’t celebrate Christmas as a Muslim, but I love Jesus (peace be upon him). I also don’t understand how anyone who claims to love him can turn a blind eye to a genocide in the very land of his birth.

خلاصة الرأي الإسرائيلي في تصريحات "بايدن".. تحليل إيتمار إيخنر، المراسل السياسي لصحيفة "يديعوت" قبل قليل. النص كاملا: من حيث التوقيت، فهذا خطاب مهم بالنسبة لإسرائيل وأمنها، ألقي بعد يوم السبت. ونتيجة لذلك، نشر مكتب رئيس الوزراء ردّه على الخطاب يوم السبت، وهو أمر نادر في حد ذاته. وحاول مكتب رئيس الوزراء في رده عدم مواجهة بايدن، وعرض نسخة مختلفة من الاقتراح المقدم لحماس، والذي يختلف عن الاقتراح الإسرائيلي كما قدمه الرئيس الأمريكي. تحدث بايدن لمدة سبع دقائق عن أن إسرائيل قدمت عرضا لحماس، ومن ناحية أخرى دعا، إن لم نقل ناشد، إسرائيل والإسرائيليين لقبول هذا العرض؛ وهي مفارقة غير واضحة تشير إلى شك الجانب الأمريكي تجاه الحكومة الإسرائيلية وزعيمها نتنياهو. وقال بايدن: "يجب ألا نضيّع الفرصة لمواصلة الحرب سعيا وراء مفهوم غير محدد وهو النصر الكامل". ووفقا له، فإن "هذا سيضرّ بالاقتصاد والجيش والموارد البشرية، وسيزيد من عزلة إسرائيل في العالم. ولن يعيد المختطفين إلى الوطن، ولن يجلب لإسرائيل الأمن المستدام، ولن يؤدي إلى هزيمة دائمة لحماس، ولن يجلب الأمن لإسرائيل مع مرور الوقت". نقطة أخرى مثيرة للاهتمام تتعلق بالتوقيت من حيث القرب من موعد محتمل لتقاعد الوزير بيني غانتس من الحكومة. والاحتمال المعقول هو أن إدارة بايدن تخشى تطرّف نتنياهو في غياب غانتس. من ناحية، فضح بايدن الخدعة الإسرائيلية وكشف أن إسرائيل وافقت في الواقع على إنهاء الحرب دون انهيار حماس وعلى مفاوضات ليست تحت النار، طالما استمرت المفاوضات حتى بعد المرحلة الأولى من الصفقة التي ستستمر ستة أسابيع. وهي نفس الصياغة الغامضة التي تم الحديث عنها في الأسابيع الأخيرة خلف الكواليس من أجل إعطاء حماس "نهاية للحرب" حتى لو لم تسمّها كذلك. ومن ناحية أخرى، إذا قدمت إسرائيل اقتراحا من ثلاث مراحل وتنتظر رد حماس ، فأين الضغط على المنظمة الإرهابية؟ وهذا الجانب غاب تماما عن خطاب بايدن. بشكل عام، الشيء الوحيد الذي برز في الخطاب هو أن معظم الضغوط موجهة إلى إسرائيل، وحماس تفلت من العقاب مرة أخرى. والشيء الآخر الذي برز هو نفور الرئيس الأميركي من نتنياهو ووعوده بـ«النصر الكامل». في خطابه، أبلغ بايدن الإسرائيليين أنهم لن يصدّقوا شعارات نتنياهو.. ليس هناك شيء اسمه "النصر الكامل". ويضيف بايدن للإسرائيليين إن حماس قد هُزمت بالفعل، وأنها بالفعل "لا تستطيع تنفيذ 7 أكتوبر آخر. ومع ذلك، في الأسبوع الذي استمر فيه إطلاق النار من قطاع غزة وأطلق المسلحون النار أيضا على بات حيفر وغان نير، من المشكوك فيه جدا أن يصدقه الإسرائيليون. في خطابه سار الرئيس الأميركي بسرعة 200 كلم في الساعة ضد المتطرفين في حكومة نتنياهو، الذين يريدون، حسب قوله، أن "تستمر الحرب إلى الأبد" وأن "يحتلوا غزة". الخطاب واضح: وزير الأمن القومي بن غفير ووزير المالية سموتريتش ومتطرفو الليكود. يعكس خطاب بايدن إحباطا كبيرا جدا لدى الجانب الأمريكي من الطريق المسدود الذي وصلت إليه المفاوضات والجمود الناتج عنها. نقطة أخرى إشكالية في خطاب بايدن هي حقيقة أنه بدأ بالفعل بالإشارة إلى محاكمة ترامب. ما العلاقة بين محاكمة ترامب والحرب في الشرق الأوسط؟ وهذا قرار أميركي غريب. وفي خطابه، كرّر بايدن إمكانية استفادة إسرائيل من الصفقة إذا وافقت على الاقتراح، وهو ترتيب في الشمال يسمح بعودة السكان والتطبيع مع المملكة العربية السعودية كجزء من تحالف إقليمي ضد إيران. تحدّث بايدن عن مساعدة الولايات المتحدة لإسرائيل في الدفاع عن نفسها، لكنه نسي أن يذكر أن الإدارة تؤخر عمليات نقل الأسلحة. خلاصة القول، إن خطاب بايدن يظهر أن إسرائيل مطالبة بدفع أثمان باهظة: حماس ستبقى صاحبة السيادة في قطاع غزة، وستحتفظ بقوّتها العسكرية، لكن إسرائيل تظل مكبّلة الأيدي.

Israel has the right to defend itself. We must make sure they have what they need to protect their people today and always.   At the same time, Prime Minister Netanyahu and I have discussed how Israel must operate by the laws of war. That means protecting civilians in combat as best as they can.   We can’t ignore the humanity of innocent Palestinians who only want to live in peace. That’s why I secured an agreement for the first shipment of humanitarian assistance for Palestinian civilians in Gaza.   And we cannot give up on a two-state solution.
