H-4 is a one of the more vintage SOWs in use by Pakistan, developed by the Air Weapons Complex back in the early 2000s with the help from the South Africans.
It is essentially an H-2 (~60km range) with a Solid Rocket Booster.

@AnkitR82296 @The_SharkSlayer The K519 is for blue water operations in places like the southern Indian Ocean while the Hangor is meant to operate in littoral waters like the Arabian sea. The K519's larger size also makes it easier to detect than a Hangor in littoral waters. Other than that the Irbis is better

Pakistan to get First of the Outdated Hangor-class submarine. The Hangor-class submarine utilizes Chinese-made engines instead of the German MTU 12V 396 SE84 and Stirling-cycle AIP system that was developed in 90s by Swedes. Stirling engines have moving parts like pistons/crankshafts, whereas Fuel Cells developed by DRDO are chemical and nearly silent. For the Pakistan Navy this is only source for credible second-strike capability, since it cant afford Nuclear Attack Submarines.

PNS/M Hangor carries the DM2A4 SeaHake mod 4, a heavyweight torpedo guided through a fiber optic wire. That means the crew doesn’t just launch it and hope for the best; they can steer it toward a target from more than 50 km away, adjusting its path in real time.

@alphascorpian @Mohsin_o2 oh ok. 1 Sea Sultan is expected to be delivered this year. 3 Embraer Lineage 1000 airframes were bought by the PN and are being converted into the Sea Sultan LRMPA in South Africa.

@ABAB031207 @Mohsin_o2 Actually our type54s and Milgems are right on track. Even in 2015, as per the contract first sub was supposed to enter PN fleet was 2024. Delay is in the Sea Sultan project. By 2030, 10 were initially planned.

@alphascorpian @Mohsin_o2 2 years ago, and delivered in 2026. The Babur class corvettes have a similar story because they are a heavily modified and heavier version of the Ada class corvettes. Construction of the ship began in 2019, and it was launched in 2021 for sea trials and delivered in 2023

This required additional design modifications to the hull. Plus, the sub was launched for sea trials ...
