We're delighted to announce that the judges for the 2023 Holstein classes have been selected. Mr Andrew Patton (Ards) will judge the National Holstein Calf Show whilst Mr James Doherty (Firstlook) will judge the National Holstein Showmanship Competition. holstein-uk.org/news/holstein-…

Disappointingly, we have recently been notified by the East of England Showground that they will be unable to host us for this year’s ABAB Calf Show. We're working hard to secure a new venue and are still aiming for an October date. Updates will follow when we know more.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Anna Stable will now be judging the Coloured Breeds Showmanship Classes. Anna comes from the Thurlestone herd of Jerseys and has judged coloured calves and their handlers at several shows around the country, including the Royal Cheshire Show.

This year's Showmanship Judge for the coloured breeds is Izzy Laird from Blythbridge Holsteins in Peebleshire, Scotland. Izzy is originally from Staffordshire where her family have a herd of pedigree jerseys under the prefix Fourcrosses.

Holstein Calf Judge, Gary Jones, was born and raised on his family’s 50-cow Hallow farm and together with his wife Izzy and their young family, now live on their own farm with the ‘Jones’ prefix which strives to breed balanced cattle with deep pedigrees.
