AB Charity Foundation Continues to Advance Education and Aid in Timor-Leste: Donating USD 500,000 in Scholarships and USD 691,412 in In-Kind Support for Children in Need In 2025, the AB Charity Foundation has continued to scale up its support for Timor-Leste, working along two main pillars: education and basic livelihood. Focusing on local youth and children in vulnerable situations, the Foundation has launched complementary, long-term initiatives to help promote sustainable social development in the country. On 4 July 2025, the AB Charity Foundation officially donated USD 500,000 to Timor-Leste to establish and expand a scholarship program. The initiative targets students from financially disadvantaged families and aims to provide more young people in Timor-Leste with stable learning opportunities by easing the burden of tuition fees and living expenses. Through this program, the Foundation seeks to help local youth complete their education while strengthening their future employment prospects and development potential. In addition to education, the Foundation is equally focused on children’s basic living conditions and quality of life. On 21 November 2025, the AB Charity Foundation made a further donation to Timor-Leste in the form of in-kind support worth USD 691,412 for material assistance programs targeting children living in poverty. The donated goods are intended to support daily needs and improve the living and developmental environment of children from low-income and vulnerable households. The AB Charity Foundation emphasizes that “having enough to eat, staying warm, and being able to go to school” are the minimum conditions for children to grow up with dignity, while education remains the key to breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty. Taken together, these two initiatives in Timor-Leste amount to a total of USD 1,191,412 in support. By combining scholarships with in-kind assistance, the Foundation is addressing both “present-day necessities” and “future opportunities,” demonstrating its global, long-term commitment to its mission of “Technology for Good, Empowering the Future.” About AB Charity Foundation The AB Charity Foundation is an independent, Ireland-registered international non-governmental organization with legal status in the European Union. The AB Foundation is committing 10 million HKD in immediate relief support to help the victims in Hong Kong recover, rebuild, and heal.
