"Department stores (-0.6%), cafes, restaurants and takeaways (-0.1%), and clothing, footwear and personal accessory retailing (-0.1%) also fell. Food retailing rose (0.7%) in December 2017."

In seasonally adjusted terms, there were falls in Vic (-0.8%), NSW (-0.4 %), WA (-0.8 %), Tas (-1.6%), the ACT (-1.5%), SA (-0.3%), and the NT(-0.7 %). Qld was relatively unchanged (0.0 per cent).
