Lola & Holly were nominated for NODA awards (National Operatic & Dramatic Association) for their performances during the 2023 season with @ACBTheatre. On Saturday they attended the NODA dinner & awards ceremony, where Lola won ‘Best Leading Female Character in a Youth Drama’.

Congratulations to Holly who competed at a dance competition last weekend, making it through to the finals of both her solo dances - & then getting placed in both, despite tough competition. Holly also performed a team dance which placed 2nd in the 14 & over category. @AKSSport

I couldn’t care less if a child sings with perfect pitch or a plethora of pitches, if they enjoy singing I’ll give my all to ensure their love of singing burns bright and long. Singing is for everyone.

Q: Why did the choir cross the road? A: To get to a professional sporting event so they could sing without restriction.

Wimbledon - Yes. Snooker - Yes. Football - Yes. Cricket - Yes. Darts - Yes. Choirs and theatres - No.

Singing certainly adds to the atmosphere of a sporting event. It also adds to the atmosphere of a singing event. I hope singing can once again occur at singing events, just as it can already occur at sporting events.

Teaching at a Easter school this week & we have a child we were warned would not speak, interact with students or participate. Yesterday they did a fashion catwalk, danced a solo & read their poem to the class. THIS IS WHY THE ARTS IS IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN! WE ARE VIABLE!

and all of a sudden the dark cloud started to lift and the villagers of pantoland rejoiced as fresh hope was given that they could return to their fairy-tale stories for the 2021/22 season. OH YES THEY WILL! Well, we'll have to do it again then won't we! wooh!
