We at ACFTU applaud the heroic efforts of the people's police in dispersing this crowd of mobster workers who are threatening the stability of our socialist nation. 3/3

It appears that Bubugao has failed to pay its workers wages for several months now, in addition to failing to keep up with social and medical insurance for its workers. 2/3

Workers from Hunan Bubugao protesting against wage arrears were dispersed by local police. Bubugao is a supermarket chain in Hunan, not to be confused with BBK Electronic Corporation, the parent company of Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus, which shares the same name. 1/3

We at ACFTU believes that the working class are incapable of producing true socialist art, therefore we applaud the closure of this migrant labor art museum to make way for true socialist art praising comrade Xi Jinping

A museum for migrant workers on the outskirts of Beijing, China, has been forced to close due to evictions, following the closure of another labor center and the Beijing #LGBTQ+ organization, as China tightens restrictions on social movement organizations. labourreview.org/farewell-picun/

1/ CLB sent out our monthly email newsletter last week, in which we analyse the previous month's @CLBStrikeMap data. This month, we focused on the surge in factory protests in China and recent strikes by food delivery workers. Read it online here: clb.org.hk/en/content/foo…

Instead of adjusting our strategies to better serve the workers in China, we at ACFTU are instead more concerned with President Xi's speech on building up a new satellite city near Beijing, which will surely utilize underpaid, overworked migrant workers. 5/5

Automation also plays a key role. Factory owners are more willing to invest in machines than workers post COVID Zero to hedge against future disruptions to production. 4/5

Caixin reports that more Chinese rural workers are choosing to stay home and seek work in their own provinces rather than becoming migrant workers. 1/5

Unfortunately the company the delivery worker worked for is headquartered in Shanghai, so instead we will use bureaucratic loopholes to push off any responsibility.

The bank also said that the employees are not bank employees but rather from an outsourcing company. This is a common tactic employed by Chinese businesses to push away responsibilities in case of labor disputes. 2/3

A group of employees at Pudong Development Bank went on strike over lowered wages. The bank responded by labeling the strike as "group activity 群体聚集" which is Chinese government speak for mob activity used as an excuse for crackdowns. 1/3

Pudong Development Bank said the strike issue is being negotiated. Notice it says the strikers are outsourced workers, not actual employees. Many Shanghai SOEs use outsourced workers so they don’t have to pay Shanghai social insurance taxes, which is higher than other places.

The issues of migrant children and "stay home" children are fundamentally labor issues caused by the proliferation of precarious migrant labor in China. We at ACFTU, however, would like to say - fuck those kids. 4/5
