In 2024, the ACLU of Montana made big strides—defending abortion access, trans rights, Indigenous voting, and free speech. These victories are a testament to what we can achieve together. The work continues, and so does our commitment to justice. Onward to 2025! 💪🏼

Montana blocked a trans health care ban in 2023, safeguarding care for trans youth. Now, U.S. v. Skrmetti asks the Supreme Court to strike down similar bans in other states. We’ve shown our advocacy works—we’re lending our voices to the fight for trans rights everywhere.

The ACLU is challenging Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming hormone therapies for transgender youth in U.S. v. Skrmetti. The outcome of this case will have far-reaching effects on the ability of the government to regulate who gets access to certain health care.
