The 2025 ESC/EACTS Guidelines for valvular heart disease represent a significant shift in clinical practice. The new recommendations broaden access to modern, less invasive procedures — such as transcatheter valve therapies — and emphasize the value of treating patients in high-volume, multidisciplinary centers. For clinicians, this underlines the imperative to reassess existing treatment pathways, coordinate care with specialized teams, and actively identify patients who may benefit from updated interventions.
