The ACPE Continuing Pharmacy Education Commission and the ACPE International Commission recently completed their spring meetings at ACPE's office in Chicago. We appreciate the hard work of these volunteers who serve on our Commissions and provide their expertise.

Great meeting with the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission under the able direction of Chair, Tate Trujillo, and staff support from ASHP Sr. Director of Pharmacy Technician Accreditation and Residency Services, Lisa Lifshin.

ACPE Past President and current Board of Director's member, Dr. Reza Karimi, recently gave a presentation and conducted a workshop at DUPHAT, the largest pharmacy conference in the Middle East, held each year in Dubai.

Sharon Youmans is the 2023 recipient of the ASHP-ABHP (Association of Black Health-Systems Pharmacists) Joint Leadership Award. She will be honored at a lunch during the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in Anaheim.

NCICLE (National Collaborative for Improving the Clinical Learning Environment) met at the ACGME offices on October 17, 2023. Dimitra Travlos,Director, Continuing Pharmacy Education Provider Accreditation gave a presentation to the group focused on interprofessional education.

Mike Rouse, ACPE Director of International Services, received the FIP Exceptional Pharmaceutical Education Award (senior career) at the FIP Congress in Brisbane. Congratulations!

Dr. Sharon Youmans, ACPE Board member, has received the 2023 Chancellor Award for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership from the University of California, San Francisco. Congratulations!!

ACPE Executive Director, Jan Engle, was honored to host Dr. Jung Mi Oh, President of the Korean Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education at our offices in Chicago. We discussed various potential collaborations. Dr. Oh was also able to observe part of our Self-Study Workshop.

ACPE Colleges/Schools Staff recently hosted the 2023 Self-Study Workshop in our offices in Chicago. Over 40 faculty from across the US participated in the 2 day session. Thanks to all who attended!

Dr. Logan Murry, ACPE Assistant Director of Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD), gave a presentation at the AACP Annual Meeting in Denver outlining ACPE's new CPD guidelines and approach to CPD credit go into effect in January.

ACPE staff members, Dr. Logan Murry and Hannah Gyimah, helped manage the registration desk at The Joint Accreditation Summit. The theme of this year's meeting is: Stronger Together: Finding the Power and Beauty of Team. #JASummit

ACPE was honored to host Professor Thafer Assaraira, President of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI), in Jordan at our office in Chicago. We had an excellent meeting discussing potential future collaborations.

The ACPE Board of Directors met at the ACPE office last week for the January Board Meeting. Our new officers were elected at this meeting and include President Amy Seybert, Vice President LuGina Mendez-Harper and Treasurer Cindy Stowe.
