Today, on International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the 180 Team & Social Justice class gathered for a powerful presentation from SOAR Brantford shelters. Poverty is not just about lacking resources—it’s about restoring dignity, belonging, and hope. @ACS_Justice

We continue to be inspired by Father Greg Boyle of @HomeboyInd. We were deeply moved by his message tonight of radical kinship, compassion, and boundless hope. “We don’t go to the margins to rescue anyone. We go there so that the margins will be erased.” @ACS_Justice

Proud moment! Our 180 Team presented an $800 cheque to Soup for the Soul from our school’s Casual Dress Funds. We’re grateful to support their mission—and to serve alongside them each month!”

During a student-led liturgy, Fr. Joe offers a blessing over a stunning student-created metal artwork dedicated to Our Lady Of The Assumption. This beautiful piece stands as a testament to the faith, creativity, and devotion of our students.

May 12- 16 we are collecting gently used shoes for youth & young adults age 14-29 living in @SOARCS_ Brantford shelters/housing to wear to job & housing interviews. ACS students drop off donations in your homerooms.

Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, Patron Saint of our school and our guide, help us to carry the love you have for Jesus into the world and to live with your courage, compassion, and grace.

ACS art SHSM students created a stunning 8ft piece of metal artwork to honor Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, our school’s beloved patron saint. A true labor of love and faith—soon to be blessed in her honour and prominently displayed inside our main entrance. @assumptionlion

As we grieve the passing of Pope Francis, we cling to the hope of Easter—that in Christ, death is not the end, but the doorway to eternal life. Just as Jesus rose from the grave, we trust that Pope Francis now shares in that same resurrection, embraced by God’s infinite love.

Easter reminds us that God’s love has the final word. Wishing you peace, hope, and joy this Easter Sunday.

On this sacred day, Love stretched out His arms and died for us. Jesus chose the Cross out of love. The Cross wasn’t the end—it was the triumph of mercy. This is the day our salvation was won.
