I recently had a conversation with a US congressman. He is a decent guy, but a relative newcomer to Washington. I asked 'What the heck is going on up in DC? Does the Senate GOP have any idea how furious we are?' He said, and I quote, 'Oh they know, they just don't care'. I had already intuited this, but it was BRUTAL to actually hear it from the horse's mouth. Not sure how this is going to look going forward, but We the People must make their lives a living hell until a path forward is clear.

Let that sink in: Just 535 fucking people in Washington act like they’re entitled to run the lives of 330 million Americans. The very people who pay their goddamn salaries, fund their bullshit perks and guarantee their bloated pensions. And here’s what should really make your blood boil: They’ve stopped acting like public servants and started behaving like they’re untouchable assholes. They treat us like cash cows and voting cattle while they jet around on our dime, insider trade their way to millions, and pass laws they exempt themselves from. I’m fucking sick of it. These arrogant pricks have forgotten who the hell they work for and it’s long past time we remind them with a goddamn reckoning. Fuck you @GOP and fuck you @TheDemocrats.
