Can we all agree the Toronto Blue Jays have one of the weakest lineups in the American League?
1. George Springer - Spring turns 37 this season. Let's not forget he hit posted a .220/.303/.371 line in 2024. He posted an even bigger fluke season in 2025 than Trent Grisham.
2. Addison Barger - Career OPS+ of 94, lousy Minor League player, why is he hitting 2nd?
3. Vlad Jr - most overrated player in the league? Hit just 23 HR last season, and finished with the 31st highest WAR. Ben Rice had better power numbers across the board.
4. Anthony Santander - Statistically the worst player in baseball in 2025, and arguably MLB's worst contract.
5. Alejandro Kirk - Slugging under .400 for his career. Has played over 130 games in a season just once.
6. Daulton Varsho - .226 xBA in 2025, .295 career OBP.
7. Kazuma Okamoto - hit just .277 in the Japan League that boasts only 6 teams, and practically had zero market in the US. Expect a freefall in MLB.
8. Ernie Clement - OPS+ of only 87 for his career. Offers nothing but slap hitting with zero speed.
9. Andres Gimenez - Had the lowest OPS of any player in the AL after signing a 7-year, $105M deal.
That's a 75-win team, folks. Don't forget they won 74 in 2024 with the same roster.
