Today in motorsport questions nobody asked but I’m answering anyway: What would it have looked like if, instead of entering F1 as an engine supplier only in the mid-90s, Peugeot had entered a fully fledged team with its BTCC driver line-up of Patrick Watts and Simon Harrison?

@1990sBTCC @jclelandracing Loved covering the GP support races - gave me a free pass to the GP meeting and as the race was always after the F1 I could turn up at lunchtime in time to see the GP and drive straight into the press car park with no queues!

Who remembers when the #BTCC held a support race at the British Grand Prix every year? Enjoy this corker from 1995, with @jclelandracing going on to take victory.

So sad to see how small @Autosport International show has become…I worked on the show for many years in the early 2000’s and to see it down to only two halls of the NEC is hard to see. Someone needs to resurrect this wonderful bastion of British motorsport.

Realised in passing earlier that last week marked 30 years since the 1994 Touring Car World Cup at Donington Park. Perhaps not a vintage race, but one that I’m sentimental about because I remember being there.

@norramot @SimonArron Reminds me of the wad of stickers I was given as a schoolboy by the Surtees team after the 1976 Race of Champions. I put one on my school bag but on the inside due to the team’s sponsor at the time…

Fair to say @SimonArron absolutely filled his boots when collecting free stickers from the 1984 British Grand Prix…

This is incredible.

This was sad to hear - John Webb was the man in charge of the Brands group of circuits during the period when most of the pictures were taken and at one point I nearly went to work for him. A motor sport visionary, RIP.

Don’t always agree with Mr Needell but he has a very valid point here…
