As someone who has grown up in a multicultural area and as someone who has a friends and family of a different race and religion, who by the way are the kindest and most welcoming people in my life, I’m still angry and disgusted at all these so called riots (which let’s face it, are terrorist acts). Please tell me how causing a ‘riot’ and damaging a hotel full of people - one hotel having the exits barricaded and then set on fire - which have many innocent and scared human beings/families inside, physically and violently attacking people, destroying our towns/cities, smashing up and looting businesses (many probably owned by your very own white people), attempting to destroy mosques, attacking police who have families etc. will help anything or “get my country back?” I don’t know what you think “my country” is but MY country is a place of tolerance, diversity and love. What are those parents supposed to tell their children when the place they are seeking asylum is being attacked/set on fire and they are trapped in there? People who have had to flee their homes, their countries, their belongings and memories, because of things like war, death, destruction and dictatorship, and have most likely lost family members and friends, or don’t know if they are dead or alive. Do you think they want to be squashed into a hotel room for 2+ years, living amongst strangers, having to eat strange food, having to learn another language etc? Or do you think they would rather be at home surrounded by their loved ones and living in peace? They are doing this to stay alive but it is no way of life. Many, many white people commit incredibly serious and horrific crimes but it never causes backlash like this; no riots, not even a peaceful protest! Or are they exempt because they look like me and you? We all know about the white nurse that killed a minimum of 7 newborn babies. No riots here. You can’t define a whole race/s (in other words, non-white people) because of something a very, very small minority do. This is racism. You are not protecting your women/girls/children, you are not protecting your towns/cities, you are not protecting “Eng-er-land” or the UK by committing more violence. Those that have taken part in the riots look like animals. Worse than animals. Animals can be tamed. You are monsters, and those condoning or supporting them are just as bad. Please everyone stay safe. To all the ethnic minorities in the UK, especially Muslims, as you seem to be the main target for this atrocity, I’m so sorry for this horrific behaviour. It’s embarrassing and sickening. I would much rather live amongst immigrants than these inhumane dickheads. Disgusting..
