These findings are important in acknowledging that people living with dementia can and do experience grief, and require additional support to cope with this experience

This study has also highlighted an under-representation of autistic adults in these services. This was even more substantial in autistic adults with intellectual disabilities. This calls for a need to improve access to psychological therapies for autistic people.
