5 years ago I was going to bed as a 15 year old not knowing that I was never going to speak to my dad ever again.
3am hits and I am awaken by my neighbor waking me up telling me I needed to come with her to the hospital to see my dad.
That’s when it hit me. Cancer f’ing sucks.

This is incredibly important. And the transition from playing sports to “retiring” needs to be a priority as this can be a very challenging time for former athletes. Just support your athletes people. It’s simple.

Student athletes mental health matters. It saddens me we still have to remind people that athletes are human just like everyone else. They have feelings. Let them feel their feelings. Stop pushing them to “get tough” or “suck it up”. End the stigma, especially around athletes.

Now this is something I can support🎉 this is amazing.

This… this is what a lot of people need to hear. Especially some parents.
