The BGSC Foundation announced a buyback plan based on operating profit just days ahead of its Q2 earnings release. The foundation added, “Starting from Q2, the BGSC tokens repurchased each quarter will be transferred from CEX exchanges to the foundation’s private wallet, and verifiable on-chain data will be disclosed.” Previously, the foundation had stated that it would allocate 100% of its operating profit to buybacks for one year starting from Q3 2025. However, based on Q4 2025 results, a total of $6.36 million was spent due to factors such as the Binance Alpha listing, leaderboard reward expenses, and a large-scale buyback conducted in September 2025 ($4.11 million). As a result, operating profit for the same period was $4.49 million, recording a deficit of approximately $1.86 million. Regarding the deficit, the foundation explained, “The large-scale buyback conducted in September 2025 was an execution that pre-reflected future operating profits, which was the main cause of the deficit.” Meanwhile, BugsCoin has a structure where a portion of CEX trading fees is attributed as operating profit, and it achieved a total of $7.7 million in operating profit from Q2 to Q4 2025.
