@ADCVanguard_ The recent ibadan gathering of the so-called opposition parties is nothing but another effort in futility. A drama staged by invited artists. Let's wait till they finished their play. Those who destroyed this country now marauding as Saviours with no concrete agenda.
English

@ADCVanguard_ I'm not really bothered about these parties coming together to form any alliance, but the real and undeniable fact is that they are yet to tell nigerians what they want to do that are different and how they intend to achieve them. Rather, they've been busy about rescuing power.
English

@ADCVanguard_ I think we need to really understand what is happening before we need to run comments. Did INEC take any action until ADC chieftains took themselves to court. Do we want INEC to ignore court's judgement and act otherwise. It's better to leave sentiment but focussed on reality.
English

BREAKING: ADC has released INEC’s affidavit dated 12 September 2025 that affirmed David Mark led NWC
Please pay particular attention to Clauses 14 to 19, which affirm that the leadership transition had already been completed and recognized by INEC, and that such internal party matters fall outside the scope of judicial interference.
It is now crystal clear that Tinubu’s APC and the embattled INEC Chairman, Prof. Amupitan, are using INEC to push a one-party system in Nigeria.
This development raises grave concerns about the independence, neutrality, and credibility of the electoral process in Nigeria. When an institution constitutionally expected to act as an impartial umpire is seen to be taking sides in internal party affairs, it strikes at the very foundation of democratic fairness and public trust.
No democracy can survive where state institutions are turned into political weapons against opposition parties. What is happening before our eyes is not just an attack on ADC, but a dangerous attempt to weaken multiparty democracy and silence alternative political voices in Nigeria. Every patriotic citizen must understand the seriousness of this moment.
We call on all Nigerians to rise to the occasion and save our democracy.

BREAKING: Tinubu Government Removes Tariffs On Rice Importation, Set To Import 500,000 Metric Tonnes Of Maize, Wheat To Tackle Food Inflation | Sahara Reporters bit.ly/3WcJGzb

English

@sanmiadekola @Imranmuhdz @woye1 Nigerians to some extent are not interested in all these policies and grammars of the government, until they translate to food and job security for the average citizens. Afterall, the previous regimes have failed the masses with the same policies and grammars.
English

Nigeria leaders hardly learn. Throwing money at problems does not solve problems. It will only create more inflation. This present government should have learned from the Buhari's regime.
For instance, what is the impact of of the Anchor Borrowers Project by the PMB regime in which billions of naira were expended with results? What happened to the trader monie too?
Nigeria today has two basic major problems today: food scarcity and inflation. Solve this two, most of other problems like insecurities and unemployment will vanish. The question is how do we do that?
For now, to solve the problem of food scarcity, government needs to embark on mechanize farming. The FG through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture needs to purchase thousands of tractors and establish farmlands across the six geopolitical zones. Recruit willing able men and women to work on thai farmlands through good remuneration.
Purchasing yield crops seeds within and outside the country to be farmed on those lands. Create value chain firms that will process those products from the farms. Target staple foods to start with like cassava, maize, rice, millets, soya beans, etc.
Get individual who are interested to buy into the government agricultural thrive with implements and not money. If government do this, in the next three months, the country would have overcome food insufficiency. There would have been increased in GDP. Unemployment rate would have dropped. Inflation rate would have reduced.

President Bola Tinubu announced on Thursday that his government aims to inject N2 trillion into the economy within the next six months.
President Tinubu made this statement during the inauguration of his Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC), consisting of representatives from various sectors of society and the economy.
During the inauguration, the President shared the results of his assessment of the fast-tracked stabilization and progress plan.
In a session with reporters at the State House following the inauguration, Mr. Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, provided a detailed explanation of the sectors set to receive emergency funding. These sectors include Health, Agriculture, Energy/Power, as well as other key areas.
He said, “The President has just inaugurated the Presidential economic Coordination Council and that is a body that is made up of the President’s Economic Management Team, the Legislature, represented by the leaders of the National Assembly; the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as very importantly, the sub-nationals, represented by the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, and, of course, the elite of the private sector.
“They were presented with the outcomes of Mr. President’s review of the accelerated stabilization and advancement plan and that was an emergency plan to cover the next six months, which Mr. President had directed that a combination of his own Economic Management Team and the sub nationals, the governor’s level, and the private sector put together for his consideration.
“The song of that very important exercise is that a N2 trillion package involving N350 billion funding for Health and Social Welfare; N500 billion funding for Agriculture and Food Security; N500 billion for the Energy and Power sector and general business support of about N650 billion.
“In addition to a range of policy measures and tax measures, there is a range of executive orders which Mr. President has signed and which are being gazetted to ease the cost of doing business at this particular time”

EFCC PRESS STATEMENT
We Will No Longer Tolerate Obstruction of Our Operations
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wishes to warn members of the public that it is a criminal offence to obstruct officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties.
Section 38(2)(a(b) of the EFCC Establishment Act makes it an offence to prevent officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties. Culprits risk a jail term of not less than five years.
This warning becomes necessary against the background of the increasing tendency by persons and groups under investigation by the Commission to take the laws into their hands by recruiting thugs to obstruct lawful operations of the EFCC.
On several occasions, operatives of the Commission have had to exercise utmost restraint in the face of such provocation to avoid a breakdown of law and order. Regrettably, such disposition is being construed as a sign of weakness.
The Commission, therefore, warns that it will henceforth not tolerate any attempt by any person or organisation to obstruct its operation as such will be met with appropriate punitive actions.

@kc_journalist Is there any law that stops security agents from searching or raiding government house. They're not going there for the sitting Gov but their property there which is Yahaya Bello . Please, Efcc & others should do the needful and stop playing politics.

@officialEFCC These press statements are good but not convincing, they can only be best and convincing when they are translated into actions for Nigerians to see.

EFCC PRESS STATEMENT
Setting the Records Straight on Investigations of Humanitarian Ministry
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has noticed the rising tide of commentaries, opinions, assumptions and insinuations concerning its progressive investigations into the alleged financial misappropriation in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
At the outset of investigations, past and suspended officials of the Humanitarian Ministry were invited by the Commission and investigations into the alleged fraud involving them have yielded the recovery of N32.7billion and $445,000 so far.
Discreet investigations by the EFCC have opened other fraudulent dealings involving Covid -19 funds, the World Bank loan, Abacha recovered loot released to the Ministry by the Federal Government to execute its poverty alleviation mandate. Investigations have also linked several interdicted and suspended officials of the Ministry to the alleged financial malfeasance.
It is instructive to stress that the Commission’s investigations are not about individuals. The EFCC is investigating a system and intricate web of fraudulent practices. Banks involved in the alleged fraud are being investigated. Managing Directors of the indicted banks have made useful statements to investigators digging into the infractions. Those found wanting will be prosecuted accordingly. Additionally, the EFCC has not cleared anyone allegedly involved in the fraud. Investigations are ongoing and advancing steadily. The public is enjoined to ignore any claim to the contrary.
On the issue of the works of the Commission against Naira abuse, dollarization of the economy and the enforcement of all extant laws relating to them, the EFCC appreciates the avalanche of public awakening, support and involvement demonstrated so far. Increasingly, members of the public are drawing the attention of the Commission to video recording of abuse of the Naira by Nigerians from all walks of life. These gestures amply demonstrate rising consciousness of the public to the sanctity of our national currency and the need for collaborative engagement to sustain the tempo.
To this end, the Commission will always investigate and prosecute anyone involved in the abuse of the Naira. Old videos being exhumed and flying around for the attention of the Commission are noted as the Commission is sensitive to the fact that its Special Task Force against Naira Abuse and Dollarization of the economy commenced operations on February 7, 2024. However, going forward, new videos of such infractions will be investigated and prosecuted.
At the moment, the Commission is investigating several celebrities involved in Naira abuse. Many of them have made useful statements to the Commission and many more have been invited by investigators working on the matter. The EFCC will not relent in its no-sacred-cow mode of operations and the public should be wary of running afoul of laws against the crime.

@renoomokri Our penchant and preference for foreign and imported goods and services must be curbed immediately if we're to survive as a nation.

You complain that a bag of rice is now ₦70,000, yet when rain falls all of us shout 'weather for two' and go to create more babies that we can't feed. Why not see ₦70,000 as an opportunity to go into rice farming? If you cannot go into rice farming, then see it as an opportunity to enter a train from Lagos to Kano, or from Abuja to Kaduna to buy rice cheap and sell it at a profit in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, and Ibadan?
Nobody is coming to save us. The UK and Japan are in recession. The twenty country Eurozone is in near recession. If we do not grow our own food and consume made-in-Nigeria goods and services over imported products, we will soon see ₦150,000 bag of rice. Let us #GrowNairaBuyNaija

BREAKING: Around 60 members of the Federal House of Representatives are presently endeavoring to propose adjustments to the 1999 Constitution in order to facilitate a transition from the existing presidential system to the parliamentary system of government.
Under the leadership of Wale Raji, a legislator representing Lagos State in the All Progressives Congress, the lawmakers recognized the importance of reducing government expenses and engaging in meaningful policy discussions, among other factors. As a result, they called for a reinstatement of the parliamentary system.
