As part of the International Nurses Day 2026 celebrations, ADK Hospital conducted a panel discussion under the theme “Nurses Shaping the Future.” The session brought together distinguished external panelists, including Dr. Salma Hassan, Senior Lecturer, School of Nursing, Maldives National University; Aishath Mala, Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Villa College; and Mariyam Niyan, President, Community Nurse Volunteers. The discussion was moderated by Sheeza Abdul Wahid, Head of Academics, SIH. The panel shared valuable insights on the evolving role of nurses in shaping healthcare systems, strengthening leadership, driving innovation, and improving patient outcomes. The discussion also emphasized the importance of empowering nurses to actively contribute to the future of healthcare through knowledge, collaboration, and professional excellence.
