Generally true. With one big caveat: you seem to say employers are the solution. In fact, employers are by far the biggest enabler of this rent-seeking system. We're asking the least quantitative people in any organization to manage healthcare costs. On a more or less random and constantly overturning population. It's like telling your engineering team that some centralized non-technical procurement team will now select their programming languages, tools and libraries. (Actually that is how corporate software often works and precisely the reason why Workday and Concur are such terrible pieces of software.) Do everything you said, but put the risk and the health plan building in the hands of the providers, and individualize the purchasing of health insurance to put consumer pressure on the value chain, and you have a plan

Anyone who thinks that Big Tech is remotely close to disrupting healthcare is out of their mind. Big tech is still skirting around the edges; far away from cracking the healthcare code. A quick recap: There was the great exodus of healthcare execs from Apple, dissatisfied with the company’s direction and focus on consumer products rather than services. Then there was Amazon's wearable Halo, too late in the game to capture market share, which shut down earlier this year. In fact, Halo actually marked Amazon's third health business failure since 2021, following in the footsteps of Amazon Care and Haven. And let’s not forget how Microsoft HealthVault and Google Health aimed to revolutionize personal health records, while Apple HealthKit set out to transform collecting and centralizing clinical data… *Cue the violins here* The Big Tech struggle in healthcare is real. That’s because Big Tech excels in doing a million things at once, launching new business lines, and boosting market caps—versus doing the slow, intricate, trench work of understanding, reforming, and connecting complex systems within healthcare’s fragmented landscape…with single minded, laser focus. That’s my take. What’s yours?

Bathing my twins and panicked.. Noticed 2 little bulges above both their abdomens… After further examination I’ve concluded that baby girls do in fact have breasts growing. 😅 🤦🏾‍♂️ #GirlDad #TwinDad

Here's my running list of panel ideas for the "This Sh*T is Hard Health Summit," assuming we can get this going. A lot of folks seem to want to attend! Thoughts? docs.google.com/document/d/1tE…
