@twelcher15 He at no point disparaged th city. He was born, lived in as a child, and has worked in NYC all his life. As someone from the NY metro area myself, I had the same reaction when I visited St Louis. For people who come from this part of the country, St Louis is very empty downtown.

A lot of people that spend no time in Downtown St. Louis and know nothing about Downtown St. Louis seemingly have the most to say about Downtown St. Louis.

@anniefreyshow Also, you clearly don’t watch a lot of baseball. It’s not like other sports where there’s constantly action. Sometimes you need to fill time by talking about other things and a lot of the time the visiting broadcasters talk about the city they’re in.

@anniefreyshow I was there 2 1/2 years ago and had the same reaction. If you come from a city like NY or LA, there are significantly less people than one would accustomed to. He didn’t say anything disparaging. Just an observation that there weren’t many people.
