Eric Bischoff takes a vacation for 4 weeks so he books a match where the winning team RUNS Raw in his absence. Winners play GM for one week each!
Kinda surprised they haven't done this again. It's a GREAT IDEA with lots of storyline potential like a wrestler awarding themselves Championship matches.
What do you think? Wouldn't it be cool to see something like this play out today?

But given the backing of say WWE, I think that format of wrestling can really thrive. Imagine the stories you can tell if you're not bounded by the "realism" of a sport? The possibilities are endless

It is a fictional TV show ABOUT a sport.
The reason Lucha Underground is still talked about today is because it went FULL FICTIONAL TV SHOW (they had undercover cops, people getting murdered, etc.)
If I wanted REAL SPORTS, might as well just watch the UFC.

The change in methodology merely accounted for the huge drops (which happened to all shows btw) . It doesn't account for the trend especially when one show just had a rating bump and the other continued going down. If any, it just proved that it's an AEW problem, not a Nielsen problem. Lmao

No, they only matter when the company that measures them doesn't change how they do it six times in a calendar year, making it impossible to actually do any sort of valid comparisons.

That kept it from being stuck in the public conscience for too long though. It wasn’t planned for 7 months in advance it was planned and allowed to germinate.
Now it’s built up so the first promo lays out the next 6 months but when the plan changes there is 0 pay off. Think: The Rock in the Cena Heel angle.

Really surprising rating given the high it had last week. Must be Neilsen's fault again. Went up against strong competition particularly the Lakers-Thunder which MAY HAVE BEEN LEBRON'S LAST GAME as a Laker. And the NHL Playoffs apparently.

NXT averaged 498K viewers (⬇️22% from last week) with a 0.06 P18-49 rating (⬇️45%), per Programming Insider. As noted, it was the lowest audience in show history for its regular timeslot. Including pre-emptions, there was an episode in February of 2022 that did a lower number when it was moved to SyFy for the Olympics. The 45% week-to-week drop in the demo rating was the biggest in show history. The show faced tough competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs. The NBA playoffs on NBC topped the night in the 18-49 demo on broadcast, while the NHL playoffs on ESPN topped the night in the 18-49 demo on cable.
