I didn’t watch the game but did they go to the monitor to see how much time was left? Seems like any buzzer beater will be reviewed for good/no good or how much time is left. Makes the players coming off the bench irrelevant. Of course like you said if the opposing team tries to get the ball inbounded quickly you may have an issue. Ref can fall on possible timing error.

Crazy sequence. Still can't believe what I saw. I think officials were intending to stop the clock to review the clock. Saint Louis also didn't try to immediately inbound ball. Think it comes down to did this interfere with play. Tricky situation for officials imo
