Sharia is not just personal religious beliefs, or a set of personal rituals. It is a complete foreign legal and political system. It has its own constitution, source of legislation, court system, judicial precedents, penal code, and model of government. In countries ruled by sharia, elected representatives do not stand above it because sharia itself is supposed to stand above man-made law. Many Muslim activists understand this very well, which is why they push it step by step in the West. They know Americans would reject full sharia immediately, so they introduce parts of it gradually: halal regulations, Islamic arbitration courts, loudspeakers for the call to prayer, Islamic indoctrination in schools, and social or legal pressure against criticism of Islam. Every small gain is treated as a milestone toward wider influence. Organizations like CAIR constantly present sharia as harmless “religious freedom,” while hiding the fact that sharia was designed as a governing system meant to replace non-Islamic systems, not coexist permanently under them. Banning sharia from influencing American law is not “Islamophobia.” It is self-defense. America already has a constitution, courts, legislators, and a legal framework. It does not need a competing foreign religious system inserted into it piece by piece. The goal of sharia is not integration into secular democracy. The goal is dominance. History already showed that clearly wherever sharia gained political power.
