At the #AfricaForward Summit, IFAD is advancing investments in African rural economies, placing them at the centre of national economic strategies and growth. Across the continent, IFAD-financed programmes are supporting rural producers in strengthening productivity, accessing markets, building climate resilience and creating economic opportunities for rural communities. IFAD's Agribusiness Hubs – launched with the support of #Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (@BMZ_Bund) and @Visa Foundation – are connecting young people to employment opportunities in #Kenya and beyond. At the same time, IFAD is investing in post-harvest infrastructure in #Rwanda and climate-smart agriculture in #Benin, demonstrating the impact of investing in the first mile of food systems. Together with #France's @AFD_France, IFAD also co-leads the Agri-PDB platform, a coalition of 142 public development banks mobilizing investment in rural transformation across Africa and beyond. Today, Africa accounts for 60% of IFAD’s investment portfolio, reflecting the importance of rural transformation in driving inclusive and sustainable growth.
