
Abdul Latif Nazari, the Deputy Minister for Professional Affairs at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Economy, participated in & visited the “Russia & the Islamic World” international exhibition in Kazan, Russia.
During the visit, Mr. Nazari stated that a new phase has begun in relations between Afghanistan and Russia, which, besides safeguarding the mutual interests of both countries, will also create an important opportunity for lasting stability & economic development in Afghanistan.
He emphasized that the balanced, economy-oriented, & engagement-based policy of the Islamic Emirate has received positive recognition from many countries around the world & can guarantee the shared interests of Afghanistan & the international community.
As part of the trip, Abdul Latif Nazari also visited a pharmaceutical manufacturing factory in the city of Kazan. He stated that one of Afghanistan’s major needs in the health & treatment sector is access to high-quality medicines, & that Afghanistan can import standard & high-quality pharmaceutical products from Russia to meet its medical needs.
He further noted that he held productive discussions with officials in Kazan’s health, pharmaceutical, & treatment sectors regarding the expansion of cooperation, improvement of medicine quality, & strengthening of the healthcare sector.
The visit and meetings were conducted with the aim of further strengthening economic, trade, healthcare, & cultural relations between Afghanistan & Russia.
