Pres. Trump's threat to wipe out Iran's "whole civilization" is genocidal. Thousands of civilians have been killed in Iran and the region. The U.S. is already carrying out war crimes—and now it is threatening to commit more. This must stop. Tell Congress: End this war now.

Today, Aug. 6, marks 79 years since the U.S. bombing of #Hiroshima. It was the first time a nuclear weapon had ever been used for warfare. Just three days later, the U.S. dropped a second bomb on #Nagasaki.  More than 200,000 people were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

As Border Patrol continues to hold people seeking asylum, including children, in open-air detention sites, conditions under the hot sun and chilly evenings exacerbate health concerns. Consider supporting aid workers by sending them items from this list: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls…

@afsc_org 4 hours passed before private contractors arrived to pick up everyone. The private contractors handcuffed the men, in violation of standards for how CBP should transport people under their custody who don't pose a risk. From inside the bus, aid workers could see people waving.

“While Senators debate eviscerating the asylum process with cruel and unnecessary immigration policies as a trade-off for funding genocide abroad, we continue to see how those same policies lead to deaths of migrants seeking #asylum,” said @AFSCSanDiego's @Pedroconsafos
