Overnight update on Nathan Williamson after fall at Alex Park. His father Phil reports a positive report with no brain bleed at this stage. Placed in coma which is normal protocol with head injury. Family on route to Auckland.

@GarrickRKnight Australia has a different system to NZ. If Final Change was bred and raced in Australia it would be a NR76.
Aust horses will be under the same new matrix, so if nz horses are higher the equivalent horse in Australia will also be assessed higher so relatively their is no change.

NZ to Aust exports will reach a new all time low this year. The new AUST ratings matrix is going to drive it even lower as NZ horses are going to be assessed even higher at point of entry. Of course, NZ's declining foal crop has also played a big part in that.

In 2023 @nzbstandardbred sales I was sitting beside Craig Ferguson as he bid on a cracking Art Major Colt. Two seats to my left sat John Dunn who was also bidding on the same colt.
Dunn won the bid war that day, two years later he combined with that Colt to win the war again.
