Germany, and especially the current chancellor Merz, has become practically a hostile enemy on issues of trade and within the NATO alliance. Germany has a long history of not paying their share of defense costs within NATO. They are a deadbeat country which freeloads off of the USA. On issues of trade, Germany also has a long history of wildly out of balance trade tariffs and market restrictions against the USA. It was only when President Trump came into office that it all came to an end. Now Chancellor Merz endless cries about how mean Trump is. Pathetic. Trump warned Germany to avoid screwing around on drug prices, which impacts other countries. Then Germany went ahead and did it anyways. Now Trump is retaliating and Germany is crying again.
