@MadelineBelk Consider checking out the breakpoints episode on bactrim dosing (episode 83). I spend some time on the PKPD data our lab has generated towards the end of the episode. The references should be in the episode notes.

Not all SOB after suspected aspiration event requires antibiotics‼️
⭐If onset is rapid (within minutes to hours) and CXR is clear
➡️consider withholding antibiotics and observe (more likely aspiration pneumonITIS rather than pneumonIA)
