🐾The 8th graders got to donate the money they raised from their penny war to Retrieving Freedom. They raised over $600 that will be used to change lives through the training and placement of service dogs for veterans with disabilities and children with autism. 🐾

REMINDER: JH BB/SB practices will begin on Monday, May 18th. Practice will go from 3:20-5 pm. JH BB/SB PARENT MTG. Thursday, May 21st at 5:30pm in Wellsburg gym. General info and coaches introduction.

Come join the AGWSR Choir as they present their Spring Concert in the HS Gym Monday May 11 at 7pm. The students have been working hard all semester and are creating really great music. We hope you will join us.

🏃2nd annual Cougar Team Mini Meet! 7th and 8th graders competed against each other today in 6 different events. The 8th graders came out on top again this year! Come watch these awesome kids compete for a conference championship at Grundy on Tuesday!

⛸️🎳🍱8th grade got to enjoy their field trip today! We went bowing, ate lunch at Tokyo Bay, and finished the day ice skating. It was such a fun day to celebrate a great school year! 🍱🎳⛸️

Calling all 8th-11th graders 🚨🚨 Informational cheer meeting. If you are interested we will be meeting during X-Block for high schoolers and I will meet with the 8th graders during their high school visit on 5/18

The 7th grade FACS students are at it again. This time mac n' cheese is on the menu! The kids did a great job sharing the work and making a tasty snack. Great job, kids! Stay tuned for what our students will be making next.

The 8th grade FACS students made chocolate chip cookies today! Even with some impromptu recipe changes/additions, students learned sometimes things work out better than expected. These kids even showed the Cougar Way and shared with their favorite, Mr. Dave. 😊 He approved!

At this time there has been no applications for JH Baseball. If anyone knows of someone who would be a good candidate, please have them apply. Having no coach could result in a lost season.

Two AGWSR HS teams recently participated in the annual Iowa High School Battle of the Books! Thank you to Ackley Public Library for allowing us to take the online competition there. We spent the rest of the afternoon eating, talking books and laughing! -B. Janssen

This weekend members of the HS music dept competed at State Solo & Small Ensemble Contest. We took a total of 14 events. The students have been working hard on this music since February and we are proud of the effort and growth they made. Congratulations on a great contest day.

**HS Track Schedule Addition** As we have lost some track meets due to weather, we have added a track meet for both the HS boys and girls teams to compete in at Collins-Maxwell on April 30.

Our Preschool and TK Sign-Up's are next week!
