Couldn’t forget this awesome catapult and basketball hoop!

And that’s a wrap on March! Alex was our chess tournament winner and we all had a blast creating basketball hoops and catapults out of cardboard for Science.

A successful day finishing our black history bulletin board, competing in the staff vs. students basketball game and celebrating Valentine’s Day 🥰

Students collected bottle flipping data for 20, 40, 60 and 80 seconds. After, they graphed and interpreted their individual data.

January began with our monthly STEM challenge, where students designed and built structures strong enough to support their New Year’s Eve ball. After a Times Square-style countdown, we celebrated the winners from each class!

Wonderful trip to the Brearly House

We just finished planning a Thanksgiving dinner in math 🦃 Students used store circulars to select menu items and calculate the overall cost. Perfect segway to adding, subtracting and multiplying decimals in Unit 3 ✨

To celebrate the end of state testing, students created a turkey and raced to the finish line! We’re almost to Thanksgiving break, LIS!

Students developed and designed models for their October STEM challenge. Each group constructed their own “bones bridge” using q tips and glue. The winning bridge held 326 grams.

Students just wrapped up their Minecraft volume projects! Students selected and designed a character of their choice and found the volume of each part. Lots of creative ideas this year!
