The surgery to remove my son’s 1st brain tumor damaged the cranial nerves required to swallow, necessitating a tracheotomy. You & I unconsciously swallow @ 1.5 liters of saliva a day (in addition to food/drink obv) Inability to swallow is a nightmare. twitter.com/danafarber/sta…
