Does banning a human rights abuse – one that overwhelmingly harms girls – take away a girl’s “right” to be abused? 1/

A man rammed a truck into Temple Israel in suburban Detroit today, then opened fire. Antisemitism is rising across the U.S. and the West. Today, the attacker was the only fatality. That has not been true in dozens of other attacks targeting Jews simply for being Jewish. AHA Foundation stands with the Temple Israel congregation and the Jewish community. We must work together to eradicate this violence and the ideas behind it. theahafoundation.org/temple-israel-…

FGM robs girls of all three. Nine U.S. states still lack explicit bans. This International Women's Day, we're demanding change—because broken societies start with broken promises to girls. You can help us fight for an Executive Order for: - Federal coordination: prioritizing prevention, survivor services, and interagency data sharing. - State action: Incentives and technical support for states to pass explicit FGM laws. - Operational fixes: DOJ–state collaboration, HHS‑led survivor supports, and clear protocols to stop “vacation cutting.”

Our Director of Policy and Women's Programs, Michele Hanash, wrote today: "Gender equality cannot be selective. It cannot celebrate women's leadership in boardrooms while hesitating to protect girls in their most vulnerable years." On International Women's Day, we're demanding action. I know what it means to live without freedom—and I know the civilization that made my freedom possible must be defended. Here is my manifesto to defend the Judeo-Christian civilization that made freedom possible and to launch @RestoringWest. restoringthewest.com/p/the-restorin…

Restoring the West
Restoring the West@RestoringWest·
Ayaan Hirsi Ali today announced the launch of Restoring the West, a redesigned and expanded publication focused on defending the principles of Western civilization through rigorous opinion journalism, cultural criticism, and ideas-driven commentary. Formerly known as Restoration, the publication has been relaunched with a broader mission and enhanced editorial structure organized around five essential pillars: Faith & Family, Education, Law & Liberty, Nation & Citizenship and Media/Arts/Culture. “The West is worth defending—and worth restoring,” said Hirsi Ali. “This publication exists to plant ideas, challenge assumptions, and equip readers with the intellectual ammunition needed for the civilizational debates of our time.” Restoring the West will publish daily commentary and analysis addressing the threats to, and the enduring triumphs of Western civilization, featuring contributions from leading classical liberal, conservative, and freedom-oriented thinkers alongside emerging voices. The publication emphasizes fact-based analysis and opinion journalism that engages readers with essential debates about liberty, culture, and governance. Regular contributors include Daisy Mae Inglese on Faith & Family, Jenna A. Robinson on Education, Trey Dimsdale on Law & Liberty, Todd Huizinga on National & Citizenship, Grace Salvatore on Media/Arts/Culture. Ayaan will anchor the publication with a weekly essay and her Saturday wrap-up column, “The World According to Ayaan,” offering her candid interpretation of global and cultural developments. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a renowned human rights activist, author, and champion of Judeo-Christian values. Born in Somalia and raised under oppressive conditions, she has become one of the world’s leading voices for individual freedom and against political Islamism. She is the author of several bestselling books and is a sought-after public intellectual whose work spans human rights advocacy, cultural commentary, and the defense of Enlightenment principles. She is a recent convert to Christianity. Hirsi Ali is also the founder of AHA Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to renewing confidence in the values that have made our civilization great. Since 2007, AHA Foundation has been a leading voice defending the rights of women in Islamist communities, advancing free speech, and combating the corrosive ideologies that threaten our institutions.
