Neeka Samimi, AHC Junior Asset Manager, recently completed the @EnterpriseNow Mid-Atlantic Resilience Academy. Neeka, pictured second from right, gained valuable insights into climate resilience, funding strategies, and best practices during the eight-week program.

It’s time for our December #VolunteerSpotlight! For more than 10 years, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has provided Christmas trees and toys for AHC residents during the holidays. The church also provides snack bags, school supplies, and holiday gift bags for our residents.

In Feb. 2024, AHC & @dcgoodwill got the greenlight for their proposed redevelopment of Goodwill’s flagship store in Arlington. Since then, the project has received community support and funding. Check out key project milestones this year: ahcinc.org/post/ahc_goodw….

At the @HousingMoCo Fall Roundtable, Alan Goldstein, AHC VP of Real Estate Development, discussed the complexities of developing affordable housing & highlighted Allium Place — a new project in partnership with @HabitatMM offering both affordable rental & homeownership options.

Our young residents are getting into the holiday spirit thanks to @PotomacSchool! Student volunteers brought gingerbread house kits for the kids in our Afterschool program. They worked together to assemble and decorate the houses. Thanks for providing this fun holiday activity!

Computer classes with partner Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs have officially wrapped for the year! Through the classes, seniors at three of our communities strengthened their digital literacy skills. Each participant received a certificate, laptop, and mouse.
