The driver fled the scene. A separate motorist stopped after seeing the child in the road and called 911. The child died at the scene
Police say they have a person of interest but haven’t released if the person is undocumented
No mainstream media reports are reporting anything to do with immigration status (tells you everything you need to know)
Erie Police Department has identified a “driver of interest” and their associated vehicle early in the investigation. They have spoken with or contacted someone connected to that vehicle
So they clearly have an idea of immigration status….
