@CX_fcb Balde has his bad moments,but I think in terms of potential he is still our only FB that can be an elite Def FB. And he is in bad day still better than Cancelo in terms of defense imo

Martins case is unique as flick is playing him at a pos that suits him If he is played in FB,I don't think we would notice that much growth tbh,but that's just my opinion Also Balde ceiling is limited in attacking imo,its like he won't ever be an elite attacking FB, . so expecting him to grow in this role is just hopeless,he won't do it in the next 10 yrs.I would like to be proven wrong also by Balde of course His strength is recovery run and defensive side,which he defo needs to improve

That’s spot on But from my post I wasn’t comparing them based on abilities or the position they share It’s the fact that Martin was once terrible No longer the case because he’s locked in and improved certain aspects of his game Is he invincible? Certainly not However we’ve seen progression in his game. Something that’s not true with Balde He’s been stagnant and I dare say regressive Especially this season So it’s not about Martin being better than Balde It’s about progression and growth in their game

Unreal. This should be his last season at this level, but even then, I’ve never seen a striker with longevity this elite. Still on track for 25+ goals as a soon-to-be 38YO. It’s beyond commendable.
