Fortemi is a self-hosted memory server for AI agents — it keeps their notes and lets them search by meaning. June's release (v2026.6.0) is the "data coming in" milestone: memory got much better at taking data in. Run it with one Docker command.

Then a wide security + privacy pass: logs, errors, and docs stopped leaking file paths, tokens, and note contents; an audit trail for sensitive actions; and the server now refuses to start if it's set up unsafely.

Built for long, busy agents: stream notes in line-by-line with back-pressure so nothing overflows, resumable multi-GB uploads that survive a dropped connection, and pluggable outside event feeds (Redis, optional Kafka) that remember their place across restarts.

A secure drop-box for other apps: register a receiver and tools post updates straight in. Each message is checked three ways — a signature proves the sender, a shape-check validates fields, and a do-once key drops accidental repeats.

Chat that types as it goes: ask your memory a question and the answer streams back a few words at a time. It shares the GPU fairly — a live chat never starves the background jobs that keep memory fresh, and it can resume mid-answer if you reconnect.

Agentic Sandbox gives AI agents a controlled place to do real work — run code, use a terminal, keep state — inside a fast container or a stronger VM, without touching the host. June was a security + reliability month. The doorway is now locked by default.

Operate safely: reach a sandbox over gateway SSH backed by short-lived, scoped leases you can revoke — no long-lived keys. And a live Observe/Drive terminal you can attach to as observer or controller, with stale-controller cleanup when a client drops.

VM agents that check in reliably: a QEMU guest can enroll over a same-host private path (vsock) instead of depending on a network route back to the manager. Plus tighter teardown so old state doesn't leak into the next run.

Secure by default: the link between the control plane and an agent runtime now uses verified, private transport. Each side proves its identity — no legacy shared secrets, no trust-on-first-use. Agents run real commands, so the door should be locked without you remembering to.

New in AIWG this month: Cockpit — a dashboard where you watch your coding agents work and start or stop them in one place. Agents usually run out of sight; now you can see them and step in. Opt-in add-on, so the core stays small.

Also this month: AIWG sets up cleanly on more AI coding apps (new: OpenHuman, plus Cursor, Warp, Codex…), and it can turn a talk, lecture, or podcast into a searchable, citable research note — with the exact timestamp.

The reliability win: agents now load a short summary of what's available and pull full details only when needed. A full Claude startup dropped from ~193K to ~110K tokens — so agents stay steady even on large projects. `aiwg doctor` reports your startup-context budget.

Search that gets plain words. Type "review my code for security problems" and AIWG finds the right skill — no hunting through lists. It searches several ways at once and ranks the best matches.

Search that finds pages by meaning, not just exact words — running on a copy of the Fortemi engine bundled right into the static site (no separate server). Plus a docs-map that reads your pages and draws how they connect.

A whole scroll + motion effects suite you turn on per page, no code: a contents strip that tracks where you are, scroll-driven stories, snap sections, click-to-zoom images, staggered reveals, a reading-progress bar. It respects "reduce motion" on its own.
