I enjoyed the interaction, as always, my friends.
The core idea is simple: building wealth doesn’t require luck, genius, or perfect timing. It comes from patience, consistency, and letting your money grow over time. Markets will rise and fall, and no one can predict the perfect moment to buy or sell. Trying to “time it right” often leads to missed opportunities.
What matters most is staying invested. Even small amounts, added regularly, can grow into something meaningful because of compounding, where your returns start earning returns of their own. The longer you stay in the market, the more powerful this effect becomes.
It’s okay to make (big) mistakes when your capital is small, like I did in the 90s. Those lessons are valuable. But as your wealth grows, the goal is to make fewer mistakes and protect what you’ve built.
Controlling your emotions is just as important. Fear can make you sell at the worst time, and excitement can push you to take unnecessary risks. Stay calm and follow a simple plan.
In short: start early, keep going, learn from mistakes, manage your emotions, and give your investments time to grow. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about being consistent :)
