@chris_j_paxton Right. It’s a blend of your gen and mine. I like looking at job listings to see where the industry is heading. It has been refreshing to see positions opening up with non-traditional requirements. The company that hires with an open mind/a sharp eye will have innovative results.

I think the field needs more people who want to work on robots but honestly I agree that the traditional robotics education (ie mine) isnt as important. It gives you a framework to think aboit problems -- but now we are solving problems in dramatically different ways.

Most robotic hands lack that, and it is very important for grasping objects securely. Let’s try to close the embodiment gap.
