@AndrewNemec 100% agree. I'm sure there are other solid programs we can try scheduling before just running back to Oregon. Find some new & exciting matchups to bolster the schedule ... this game doesn't feel at all like it used to in every aspect.

My question: Do the (assumed, I don't know numbers) financial benefits of this rivalry game outweigh benefits of a softer schedule that gives OSU a better chance at a big season? Oregon-Oregon State are in different spending realms - 0-4 in those games is 4 seasons with an extra L.

Those are not guaranteed losses, but it doesn't look the way it used to. And when you need to go 10-2, 11-1, 12-0 to get into expanding playoff, signing up for a (likely) loss for 4 years feels like a mistake. Unless the financial windfall is significant.
