@BullJay14 This won't be the only exit. Sources say the portal #'s could be as many as 15-20 players & playing time won't be the factor. Total lost players could be as many as 30 including those graduating. 3 departed weeks ago due to a "toxic environment" according to these same sources.

I have no info as to how many are planning to transfer or their reasoning. I think when the season ends like it did, exits can be expected. If there is a mass exodus, I think all eyes should be centered around 7-8 freshman that we saw get action this season. Retaining those will be key IMO.

SOURCES: Daniel Schlereth is leaving the @USFBaseball program, and the Bulls now have an opening for a new pitching coach, I’m told. Schlereth has spent the last two seasons at USF, and previously was at Western Michigan.

Haven't heard it mention on USF Twitter, but shoutout Pro Bull @Nick_d27x who made his MLB debut for the @Mariners on 5/9. He's appeared in 6 games so far and has pitched 6.1 scoreless IP. Love to see it!

@DarrienStarling I agree with your sentiment but I don’t think that energy can come from your Head Coach. He needs to be the one working to contain it so that it doesn’t escalate. Especially after the game, no reason for a heated moment then.

I like the fiery passion shown by UTSA baseball coach Pat Hallmark, especially against a rival school. That’s the kind of thing that makes supporters and players like him even more. This is SPORT, it’s better when there’s edge and dislike between opponents. UTSA is looking to secure another American Conference banner, they’re going to get a boost from something like this. The public statements made by AD Lisa Campos afterwards were necessary and is a formality. Same with his comments as well. This is fun….. 😅

Wild how folks can try to spin things even with video. Texas State coaches clearly continuing to talk while “walking off” then Trout re-engages (to het his coaches yet but also continues to talk) with Mora and Munguia name calling from the dugout. It also looked like at one point Hallmark was saying, talk to me first/about it. But I’m not a lip reader, could be wrong.
