One for the slow golfers out there: If you play in over 4 hours at Sleepy Hollow (and many other clubs of stature) you will get your name posted for the whole club to see. Is this a fair punishment? To the slow golfers, do you still think it’s okay to be slow? Does the fact that great golf clubs would punish you for slow play finally make you consider that maybe you are a problem? Keep in mind, this doesn’t mean you have to rush. It just means being ready to hit and not acting like you are trying to win a major with every 3 footer.

3 of 4 were jam shots (only 1 true lineout!)
In other words, if the logic is protect against getting doubled up, then they were protecting against something that had-at best-a 0.1% chance of happening.
Conversely, Varsho has hit 412 groundballs to 1B/2B/SS (type of play where good primary & secondary leads could have won them a World Series).

If it were a guy like Kirk, Guerrero, Clement, Bichette, etc... up at the plate (ie a RHB who hits a lot of line drives), totally get the logic. But you lose me when Varsho up at the plate.

He did exactly right here. The #1 rule with bases loaded and less than 2 outs is you cannot get doubled up on a line drive to 3rd baseman. So your lead is as far as the 3rd baseman is from the bag. He did this perfect.
